Australian dairy cows enjoy open green pastures and are free roaming. Pasture raised cows build strong immunity through their natural clean and healthy environment, which is passed onto their new born calves, to fight bacteria and viruses present in the first 24 hours of life, enough to keep them well until their own immunity has developed. 

Once a cow has given birth, she produces approximately 8-10 litres of colostrum over the first 24 hours. The first five litres is given to the calf as this is vital for its survival and health. This first food of life provides sufficient immunity and nutrition for the calf, to safeguard herd quality and life.  Any remaining unused whole colostrum is collected in sterilised stainless steel tanks, stored below the glass temperature to stop spoilage, then flash-pasteurised at 72°C for 15 seconds, long enough to kill any pathogenic microbes but not long enough to damage the delicate bioactive elements of colostrum. The pasteurised colostrum is then freeze dried to maintain the bioactivity and nutritional value of the original colostrum.  Keeping in tact heat sensitive proteins, vitamins, minerals, immunoglobulins and enzymes essential for getting glycogen to muscles and to strengthen immunity. Colostrum powder is then tested for high levels of purity and bioactive components, to be free of microbial pathogens, before further manufacturing into capsules.
